Profile Intermedia 9

Speakers: great!
Contents: great speaker - great content!
Workshop: Went to a physical hacking course - grrreat!
Sleeping: I hate hostels, I love couches
Food: Döner is your friend not your boss

Outstanding 1: Silvano Levy, Michael Sutjiadi, Ole Schäfer, Nick Bell, Jan Rikus Hillmann, Harald Siepermann
Outstanding 2: Delaware was totally from outer space, no speaker, no band evoked this strange feeling between dizzyness and complete loss of orientation you'll only have a few times in your life.

No go: There is one speaker I shouldn't listened a single word to - sorry. The Zwiebelfish guy was talking about his great student driven magazine, trying to convince the audience of a "no logo attitude" by sentences like: "Imagine that! Our Students go to big agencies and ask 'em 'did you ever had to refuse a briefing cause of moral issues?' And afterwards people will have a chance to get a job there by getting in contact with agencies in an unsual way. That's a perfect chance for our students"
...got it? Fishy, right!

Thus the whole conference was worth every cent.

And who didn't ever want to pay Turku a visit?!

Arduino, Monome

There they are, my two babies. Dunno how to do what I want to do with them (usually I hate it if people write something like this, but in this case it's poorly true) - yet!
Finally after weekends of waiting and wondering, they arrived. I had to pick up the Monome logic board from the airport 'cause there was no tax declaration marked and I had to pick the Arduino up from post office 'cause nobody opened the postman. Cheap excuse, clearly. I'm sure they knew what's inside and immediately felt the love evaporating from every pin, every soldering point, every diode.
I already love 'em (I unpack 'em, pack 'em, unpack 'em to take a look again, pack 'em), I think I'll hate them very, very soon. But for now I'm off to the Profile Intermedia in Bremen and Conrad (german electronics shop).
