SWF player detection and embedding via Javascript

Note to me, myself and I:

Take a closer look at SWFObject. Looks like an easy way to embed SWFs. Site states SWFObject is search friendly, downward compatible and integrates in valid xhtml.

Done

Finally I have everything done: my final hand-in, presentation and my diploma (1.3 for the final presentation and 1.0 for the final object, a book). I don't have my actual certificate yet, but that's just a bureaucratic thing to handle later.

2 Dos following up in the next weeks:
work
• final metrics and kernings for richter
• final book and poster series for richter
• lookbook of fonts I have done so far
• analogue and digital portfolio mock-up

life
• look 4 new apartment
• get all paper work done
• look 4 retirement arrangement

Whitelabel - Our first review

HD Schellnack reviewed Whitelabel and I'm pretty glad we got away that good ;) - actually quite flattered the concept is received that well by our audience.

Currently Whitelabel is out of sale, due to some delayed subscriptions we have to respect, chances are high we'll set a very last set of about 20 copies free.

look ma! I got in 2nd

Look ma! I got in second... quite a few weeks gone though, but still.

Why later…?

I was actually ready. I was ready for all the gimmicks Leopard would deliver. Ready for that time machine thingy, ready for a new finder and all but foremost ready for a true 64bit OS.
Foremost I wanted a reason more to get a new MacBook Pro, since my little tough G4 12" here's fighting overheating for more than two years now. I followed todays keynote at WWDC 2007 on wired (entry's gone but engadget still got it) and this one sentence about shipping leopard in october…

Boy, that's tough. Another three four months with my old Powerbook suffering Burn-Out syndrome.

Skate And Die

Today I turned 13 again and got my skateboard. I never learned to skate, decided to go for a pair of not so cool agressive skates back then. Stats: fell 5 times, one time on my wrist and stood on the board for 3 kicks maximum. I know I'm too old for this, but who cares anyway?

Helsinki on Dashboard at 2 a.m.

Boy, I wish I'd be back in Helsinki sometimes. I actually lived not far away from that spot you…errr… see there: the city harbour.
I use Slothcam to spot webcams via Dashboard. Unfortunately most webcams in Helsinki shut down recently.

Anchorman for Scriptographer finalized

See the mighty Anchorman in action and judge yourself.
Jonathan Puckey helped me a lot to finalize the script and actually made it a lot more user friendly. Now the script works as intended, no errors and a lot of fun visualizing anchors, handlerpoints as well as handlers.

Posters will be added soon.

Anchorman for Scriptographer

I'm currently working on a little piece of Javascript for Scriptographer. I thought I'd make a few Posters about the Bezier workings of my current Font. Unfortunately I get distracted all the time like Anchorman (working title) does right now. And a nice little booklet about the working process, and Letrasets with the font…
Boy, I'm just not consitent enough for a font project ;)

EDIT:

Kompleted the Script. Here's an example with one of the sketches for the ultra thin minuscule e.

Presently you can adjust the size of anchor points and handler points as well as adjusting width and color of strokes for handlers. I'll have to add a chance to specify stroke widths for anchor and handler points. Or leave it all aside - there's no chance to save options.

EDIT:

anchorman beta (zip, 1 KB)
Here's a Beta, final version will be available on Scriptographer.com
