Tom Sachs

So you know social housing projects, preferrably from the 60s? Their huge, their massive but you don't know what to do with them? Take a look at modern Arty-farty Tom Sachs!!!
Your 20 storage housing machine does not have to be that fancy and it mustn't be built by le Corbusier. Measure it (I don't believe that snippet: there are construction plans, nice idea though) get yourself a lot of paper and take a few weeks off. Voila you've got your super stylish art project going on and any art-gourmand will snatch your buildings away from your fancy-shmancy Berlin-Mitte art galleries.
Nice work by Sachs. Probably the only I like so far.

Hyungkoo Lee -

Hyungkoo Lee does creepy comic installlations.
I can't help it but I really like it, since it draws in western comic characters like donald duck etc. and twists it into a different direction. Combining elements of innocence and childhood and kicking them out of order with rather adulty themes - in this case death - is something I'd consider typically asian... artwise. In this case I even love it cause it exceeds the rather simple construction. It's humerous, pseudo-scientific, inherits cultural connotations from an unusual point of view and is just beautiful in it's simplicity.

Masters of Arts

3D Patterns

Hervé Graumann has a really creepy site but his work though... He does Patterns, real Patterns. Little arrangements of objects producing a regular, rythmic appearance. You might see that everyday but this goes a step further.
